Practical guide

Set up online reservations for your restaurant: one link, more ways to find you.

Your website, social channels, Google profile and messages can all lead to the same up-to-date booking journey.

One link turns your website, social channels and search into direct reservations.

Accepting online reservations does not necessarily mean joining a marketplace. A restaurant can use its own reservation page and share the link through the channels it already controls.

Where to place your reservation link

  • in the main menu and most visited pages of your website;
  • in social profile bios and buttons;
  • in your Google Business Profile when the integration is available;
  • in automated messages and your email signature;
  • on QR codes in the window, menu or receipt.

What information to ask for

A reservation only needs the date, time, party size and contact details. Special requests, allergies or preferences should be optional and explained. Every extra field can reduce conversion.

Real availability, not just a request

Guests need to know whether the table is confirmed or still requires restaurant approval. Use consistent wording on the page, in emails and in the staff diary.

Connect online bookings with the dining room

The value does not stop when the form is submitted. The reservation should enter the service list alongside phone bookings and walk-ins, with notes, status and next actions visible.

Goal: whatever the booking channel, your team should work in one place.
